EGY SKY (IMO 9366483) detained at Constanta, October 2026

The Egyptian-flagged container ship EGY SKY has been detained at Constanta, Romania, marking a striking break from one of the cleanest port state control records in its peer group. The vessel had passed 32 consecutive inspections over 18 years without a single detention, making the Constanta action a genuine outlier that warrants scrutiny of what may have changed aboard.
